· The Creator: (John 1:3) “Through Him all things were made without Him nothing was made that has been made.”
· (Acts 17:24-28) "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. {25} And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. {26} From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. {27} God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. {28} 'For in him we live and move and have our being.'
· God is Pure and Holy: (2 Corinthians 6:17-18) "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." {18} "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
· (1 John 2:15-17) Do not love the world or anything in theworld. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. {16} For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. {17} The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
· (1 John 1:5-6) “God is Light, in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.”
· He disciplines us: (Hebrews 12:5-11) And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, {6} because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." {7} Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? {8} If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. {9} Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! {10} Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. {11} No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
· God never changes and He provides for us: (James 1:17) Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
· (Revelation 21:6-7) “…I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. {7} He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
God is our King, the everlasting Father, He loves us and He cares for us, He plans for us and provides for us, we are He’s children, He created us. God will protect us from ourselves and from our enemies, therefore He fights for us and disciplines us. He is the Beginning and the End, the Author and the Finisher of our faith. He cannot be questioned because He knows best. He will never change. He will never lie. He’s words are Truth and Life! God is righteous, there is no unclean thing in Him. He is the Holy of Holies, Pure and Magnificent! Mighty in battle, Omnipresent – Always present. He hears the cry of His people and comes to their aid. He is Faithful, never breaks His promise! God is Love!
God the Son
· The Bread of Life: (1 John 1:1-4) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched – this we proclaim concerning the Word of Life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
· (John 1:4-5) “In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness but the darkness has not understood it”
· God's children through Christ:(1 John 3:1-3) How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. {2} Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. {3} Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
· (Ephesians 2:18-19) For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. {19} Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household,
· Our Peace Maker and Mediator: (1 Timothy 2:5) “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
· (Hebrews 9:15) “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance – now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”
· (Ephesians 2:14-17) “For He himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility; by abolishing in His Flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in Himself one new man out of the two thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God, through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.”
· (John 14:27) “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
· Cleanses us from our sins: (1 John 3:5) “But you know that He appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin.”
· (1 John: 8-9) “If we claim to have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the Truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
God is the Mighty Planner, from the beginning, He knew He would reconcile us to Himself. God loves the world so much the he sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins, so that we may be purified and justified by the Blood to be called the children of God. Christ is the Light, He showed us the way. We were once lost in the world and slaves to sin and death. But When Jesus came He rescued us from captivity, though we were blind to it, He opened our eyes and shed light on what was once darkness. Jesus is the reason for our being, without Him we cannot see God, we cannot know God and we cannot be He’s children. The law sent through Moses was because of our lawlessness but we were never going to be able to please God through them, to God our righteousness is like fllthy rags! Therefore Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice, the covenant of Gods love, the promise that we will escape the evil decadence all around us and share in his Divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Jesus is the Bread of Life. The Word of God… Therefore God’s Word is the Bread of life and Christ himself!
God the Holy Spirit
· The Holy Spirit helps us not to sin and do the things we need do so that we may be called sons of God: (Romans 8:13-18) For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, {14} because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. {15} For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." {16} The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. {17} Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. {18} I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
· (Matthew 7:19) “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” (Matthew 3:10) “The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Galatians 5:22-25) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
· Strengthens us and enables us to know God: (Ephesians 3:14-19) For this reason I kneel before the Father, {15} from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. {16} I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, {17} so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, {18} may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, {19} and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
· Our Intercessor and our Counselor: (Romans 8:26-27) “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searched the hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with Gods will.”
· (John 14:26) But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
The road to Heaven is a narrow one and there will be many obstructions in the way. But the Bible says, that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. Therefore we cannot fight this battle by ourselves - this daily struggle and wrestle with the world, for can flesh fight spirits… We need the Holy Spirit which is given to us as a gift from our Father in Heaven to those who ask for it (Luke 11:13). The holy Spirit is what helps us on our daily struggle to stay on the narrow road. The Holy Spirit teaches us, gives us wisdom (my people perish for lack of knowledge) enables us to comprehend God’s Word… Christ… The Bread of Life. The Holy Spirit worships God… We are commanded to worship God in Spirit and in Truth (The Truth is in the knowledge of Christ). The Holy Spirit prays for us, we cannot pray for ourselves less we pray amiss. Those who walk in the Spirit are the sons of God, we cannot know God without the Holy Spirit. Once we have the Holy Spirit we have life!
Once we believe in Jesus Christ who is the Son of God who has cleansed us and reconciled us, we need to pray for the Holy Spirit to be released like on the day of Pentecost... that is the power in us to be the children of God!
